When a client joins a program that uses a recurring or installment payment plan, Coaching Genie uses Stripe to handle the payments automatically.

After the first payment is made, the system will automatically charge the client’s saved card when the next billing period arrives. Coaches do not need to manually collect each payment.

If a payment does not go through (for example, because of insufficient funds), the system will try to charge the card again. Coaching Genie will retry the payment up to three (3) more times over the next few days.

If the payment still declines after those tries, the client will receive an email notification with a link to update their payment method.

The coach will also be notified when a payment fails. The notification is sent by email and inside Coaching Genie, and it will include:

  • The client’s name

  • The group they are enrolled in

  • The reason the payment was declined

This process helps keep recurring payments running automatically while making sure both the client and the coach are informed if there is a payment issue.
